Commercial Development
Helping our client's team build even better with their own sustainable, purpose-built office space. Embodying their values and inspiring their expanding workforce.
SDC proudly work closely with Texco on their many industrial construction projects. New shared headquarters for the company’s Victorian branch presented the opportunity to create a bespoke, personalised and high-performance commercial office. Built from a warehouse conversion in Melbourne’s Hawthorn East, the site sought to provide occupant comfort and convenience, and assist productivity within the space.
APPROACH & SOLUTION
SDC undertook Energy Modelling to demonstrate that the design of the bespoke offices met the requirements of Part J of the National Construction Code in relation to energy efficiency and thermal comfort.
Given the existing building being retained and worked with, the flexibility SDC provided through the JV3 Verification Method was critical to delivering an outcome that suited the client’s vision and ambition whilst meeting strict regulations.
Skilled and experienced in bringing industrial construction builds to life, this project brought the details home to Texco’s new office. By applying the best possible solutions to their own building, Texco were able to further and more deeply understand the importance of how different construction techniques meet not only the required building codes, but also impact the every day. The result is the creation of an incredibly rewarding and valuable space for their team to produce their best work from – and valuable insight that will positively inform their future projects.
