Shape your career.
Reshape the future.

Keen to step into an impactful career in sustainability?

As one of Melbourne’s earliest established sustainability practices, Sustainable Development Consultants (SDC) assist architects, designers and developers in producing exceptional built environments.

We strive to inspire, pioneer, improve and develop solutions to ensure our built environments contribute to safeguarding the future.

A graduate role at SDC will see you learning on the job by working on live projects as a valued member of one of our ‘Team of Teams’. You’ll be working alongside and guided by our experienced sustainability consultants as you take the first steps in a fulfilling career path.

At SDC we’re passionately committed to actively supporting the development of Sustainability Consultants of the future. Your success path for the first year will look like this:

3 months:
– Find your feet and settle well into the role
– Gain an understanding of the SDC approach to Environmental Sustainable Development (ESD), and explore a range of potential focus areas
– Actively contribute as part of the SDC team as you learn a range of ESD tools and develop report writing skills

6 months:
– Continue to actively contribute as part of the SDC team
– Expand your knowledge of all things ESD

12 months:
– Be proficient and confident in the delivery of ESD projects
– Have gained project experience and knowledge across a variety of building types
– Be confident with a range of key ESD tools and advancing towards the next stage in your career with us.

SDC’s effective 75 hour working fortnight means you have flexibility around working 9 or 10 days per fortnight, as well as the hours worked each day and start and finish times.

Our bright, open-plan metro Melbourne office is located in the heart of Camberwell – close to public transport, central to a vast array of amenities and with on-site parking and end of trip facilities also available.

Hybrid working is also on offer once you’ve developed capability to work indepently, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote working.

As Pacific Sponsors of MUEES, SDC are pleased to extend this full-time, paid graduate program opportunity to a successful MUEES graduate.
